Extra Mile Run

Brazil 135 Done

Jharp - January 27th 2010

Be Change Runner, Ray Sanchez has done it again. Yesterday, he finished the first of three races that puts him one step closer to conquering the Badwater World Cup. With only 12 of the 135 miles considered flat, Ray turned in a time just under 35 hours. As if it can’t get any tougher, Ray believes Brazil is the easiest. The Badwater World Cup consist of three of the hardest foot races on the planet.

Brazil 135, is in the books!

Finished.

Done.

Equal Start Director Michelle Purcell and Be Change Running Coach Ashley Loucks crewed and paced Ray. Ray and the girls are flying back from Brazil.

Once back in the States, Ray and Equal Start Founder Jason Harper head immediately to the toughest of the three races, the Arrowhead 135.

Held on the Canadian border in International Falls, Minnesota and only a week after the finish of Brazil, Ray will tackle this daunting race. With temperatures plummeting to -30 Fahrenheit, Ray will run.

Never before has an ultra-runner conquered the Badwater World Cup. Most won’t even try it.

Less than eight days after running in the Brazilian mountains, the Minnesota tundra waits.

Stay tuned.
