Jason Harper

Jason Harper began running long distances in 2005. Along with Rick Cole, Harper ran the Big Sur International Marathon for charity. Since then, Harper has ran numerous marathons and covered the 26 mile distance more than 20 times.

In 2008, Harper ran The Extra Mile, a 100 mile distance around the city of Sacramento.  He finished in triple digit heat on the playground of Oak Ridge Elementary School.  Harper's goal was to secure health care for every child on the campus.  Starting with only 12% of the children, Harper and his team enrolled 82% of the campus in to health care in the 2009 school year.

Harper now challenges others to "be the change in the world they want to see."
